Ericsson recently asked 20 thinkers to share their views on the drivers of the future and how connectivity is changing the world. You can find them all here. This one, from Don Tapscott (author of Growing Up Digital and Wikinomics), discusses how the generation coming up now has a brain that is literally wired differently. He talks about how the brain largely gets built between the ages of 8 - 18 and the difference between spending those years having society wash over you exclusively from mass media (like us older folks) versus spending those years as an active initiator and collaborator in the form of the social web (like what's happening now). You should watch it. The way Don discusses these shifts is most centering.
