To begin, this ad from Skittles and TBWA\Chiat\Day NY just cracks me up. Yes, it's crazy like the rest of Skittles' stuff... But what I particularly like about this is how hard-working the thing is: they've made the spot amazingly entertaining, roped the product's point-of-uniqueness into the heart of the concept, created desire and interest for something new and showcased great taste.
And while I'm on the subject of Skittles, here an old fav of mine just for kicks...
Next up: Directions Youth Services who provides 24 hour youth services in Vancouver. These were found on advertising/design goodness who reports that nearly two hundred images of poster edges, paper tears and secondary graffiti were photographed around the city then composited with the main talent and background plates. Impressive. Agency: Rethink, Vancouver.
James Ready with an innovative approach to media space; buy an outdoor board and offer to share it with anyone, all in the name of keeping the product at its low price point. Agency: Leo Burnett, Toronto.

Here's a fantastic piece from The Martin Agency for Walmart and Madden NFL '09. I realize this came out last Fall, but I just love the writing, the casting and the capturing of the gamer mentality. Had to post it up.
Check out this spot from This Is Reality.org directed by the Coen Brothers. I found it funny on the first viewing and then hysterical on the second. Thanks for passing along, Sean.
I had never seen the case study recap of the Dark Knight Alternate Reality game before. But it's worth checking out here, if nothing else to see a great way to put a case study reel together. Good find, Cale.
Heinz created some very cool looking ketchup packaging for their home town heroes. (Found on Church of the Customer.)
Kogi Korean BBQ offers a mix of Korean BBQ and Tacos down in Los Angeles. They serve their food out of a truck. It's supposed to be tasty. But in order to know where Kogi will be from day to day, one must join the thousands of people (11,589 at posting time) already following them on Twitter. (Found on InfluxInsight/Springwise.)
Want to know where the billions of dollars of government stimulus spending are going? Check out this website. Why did this piece make the Great Work post? Creating a website like this where people can EASILY FIND OUT where government spending is going, is a new approach to Washington leadership.
How cool is this? The Miesrolo Chair by Uros Vitas. Wood slats that are put together in such a way to support a person and then able to be rolled up into a compact shape. Found on PSFK.
New Math is a fun place to hang out and keep up with. While scrolling through the seemingly endless equations you're bound to find something you can really relate to. Or stuff that just makes you smile or think. Found on PSFK.
Fallon just launched Skimmer: a widget that combines Facebook, YouTube, Flickr, Blogger and Twitter. It's free, and you can download it here. Looks pretty cool and useful.
And while I'm on this subject... I don't think we don't say "thank you" enough for all the free stuff that people make available on the web... So cheers to Fallon for finding a way to showcase their web talent while giving the rest of us something of value for free. Thank you.
