Nearly 34 million people watched the premiere of Life on Discovery earlier this week. It's amazing. Not sure how they shot some of the stuff they did but it took three years. And it's not just about showing animals: it's about how life must constantly change and adapt. How predators are adapting the way they hunt. How the hunted are adapting ways to escape and survive. And how, in general, the other things that share our planet are simply incredible. You should check it out. I think you'll be amazed at what's been captured on film and find the story lines fascinating.
And as I was watching the premiere myself I got to thinking about how everyone always complains that there's too much advertising and marketing in the world and what an unfortunate thing that is. But I think it's important to remember that the reason Discovery was able to spend three years capturing footage never seen before was because of marketing support. It's presented by Target. Key advertisers: Sprint, Discover Card, Geico, Disney and VW.
Anyway. Carry on...
